This page is no longer updated and kept only for reference.

We would also appreciate it if you notified the webmaster that this happened so he can fix it.

StankDawg : 04/19/2006 - HackTV:Underground - episode 1

Our first "real" episode of HackTV:Underground is here! We accidentally named the preview episode as episode 1 instead of episode "0" so you might want to download it again or rename your file to htvu0000.avi. This new episode is the first real episode of HTV:U and should give you a pretty good idea of what the show is all about.

Episode 1 of HTV:U is a small sized MP4 file that is ipod-ready.

"ipod-ready" version (28.4 MB): Direct download (Right click and "save as...")

Look for more episodes of HTV:U coming soon. Thanks to the Infonomicon Computer Club for being the first contributors!

StankDawg : 03/21/2006 - HackTV:Underground - episode 0

HackTV started as a concept that was supposed to be community driven. We wanted people to send in clips which we could combine with our own and put together a TV show for the comunity. No one seemed to think it would work and few people sent in footage. Taking a look around at the hacking shows that have popped up since then proves that the interest level in this type of project is there. The DDP is ready to move ahead to the next chapter and we want to take you all with us.

We need you to make this happen. Once again, we are inviting the community to partake in HackTV, and this time, we have made it as easy as humanly possible for you to do so. We will worry about the bandwidth. We will worry about the editing. We will worry about all of the headaches. You just need to get a camera, ANY camera, and film your hacking exploits. They don't have to be you sitting at a computer, they can be you presenting at a meeting. It can be people hacking hardware, doing some urban exploration, or simply teaching how to use a security tool. anything that would be of interest to hckers will work just fine.

This new series is called "HackTV: Underground" because it is made by you, the credible hackers of the underground. No amateur shows trying to get on TV. No TechTV outcasts trying to turn a buck on merchandising. No copycats who just want to see their face on the internet. This show is about you. It is about us as hackers.

Episode 0 of HTV:U is encoded using DIVX. This show does not have a set format or codec. Every show may differ depending on who does the editing and what formats people use for their footage. We recommend you use somethign like VLC which will play most formats easily. We will not be using any consistant formatting or sizes, so be prepared!

High-Res DivX version (28.4 MB): Direct download.

HackTV Underground will take almost all submissions that are remotely hacker related. Video quality is not an issue. We will take cameraphone videos, 8mm, dv, betamax, claymation, you name it, we will try it. All authors will get full credit and get all of their own shoutz and linkz to their sites in the credits. Contact us as explained in the "zer0" episode and we will we get these shows released as fast as you can send them in.

StankDawg: 08/17/2003 - pilot episode released!

The Pilot episode is now available! Keep in mind that it is just a total test scenario starring none other than dual_parallel using all of his videos from oldskoolphreak (Thanks dual for being the guinea pig and being a good sport with all the jokes). We tested with all of the different formats, sizes, resolutions, etc... to see what we could do with them. So this is officially a pilot/teaser release, keep that in mind! Also, this version is the low quality WMV version which is a lot easier on my bandwidth. The final release will be 1/2 hour long using higher quality DivX compression. The overall quality should be more consistant now that we know better what we are doing. Thanks to Saitou for the editing, testing and all of the work he has put into this project!
