Connecting to WPA networks without SP2

3 posts in this topic

Ive got a wifi router, and right now its using WPA encryption. I want to be able to connect to it from my desktop PC. I cant get SP2, because i dont have a registered copy of XP on my computer. Is there any way to either get SP2 to work, or connect to the network without it? My computer now only recognizes WEP, and SP2 supposedly adds WPA recognition.

Thanks,

Para

Do people ever look for themselves anymore ? Is it so hard to use a search engine ?

All it takes is using the proper drivers and firmware that support WPA (which you can get from the Manufacturer's site usually), and installing a patch provided from Microsoft. I mean, configuring stuff in Windows is pretty damn hard! </sarcasm> </drip drip>
