from WIRED magazine - October/2002 (I am behind on my reading, so sue me)

89% - Proportion of the US house of representatives who voted for the Cyber Security Enhancement Act, which would allow life imprisonment for malicious computer hackers.  Only 3 house members voted against it.  The legislation is now pending before the senate.

I notice that it says for malicious hackers ... Does that mean that they'll leave recreational hackers alone? Or are they gonna' default to "They're all alike"?
