Windows boot splash

I want to edit the boot splash on this windows me box, There is also a vendor boot splash (hp) that I would like to change.

The HP one is probably built into the BIOS, aka, you are SOL

As for the windows one, you could always install linux (lol, j/k, just trying to piss off whoever said "use linux" isn't an answer......it's always the answer :borg: )

google tells me you can diable it by

1. Edit boot.ini

2. Add " /noguiboot" right after "/fastdetect".

I do use linux, but this box is *going to be windows. Thanks for the help man.

i think that was covered in th hacking the look article in 2600 but im not sure if it also reffered to ME, but windows is good to have weither dualbooteed or standalone just cuz everything is for that and not linux yet

winME came installed on my laptop and i hated it b/c it crashed all the time. you should downgrade to win98se b/c it's the shit windows.

by edit splash screen... you mean edit out or edit the pic? the pic i think is installed as "logo.sys" and like "logow.sys" or something like that... open them in your photo editting shit and goto town.. or just rename it and rename your picture file to logo.sys..
