T-shirts!

52 posts in this topic

I'm thinking of making some kickass phone phreak t-shirts...REAL silk-screened t-shirts, not that iron-on transfer nonsense. If I made up some really awesome designs, would you be interested in buying one? (damn economies of scale)

Post some ideas for what you'd like to see on a shirt.

I'd be up for buying some, most of my shirts are a little small on me anyways.

What kind of artwork are you interested in? Front only? Front and back? Can you give some pointers on content?

I'm probably going to work up artwork for the front and back, and possibly the sleeves if I think of something that works. Possible themes I'm considering are Bell System-related themes, artwork of telephones, cute/witty slogans, and anything else you can think up.

I'd get one as long as they aren't too expensive, not vulgar and shit (heh) and come in black :)

black shirt with just the blue bell logo would be elite, although wouldn't you need the rights to do that?

and the thank you for abusing AT&T one is pretty good :)

The problem is that this isn't too visible unless you're close to the shirt.

strom--if you use one witha telco logo--stick something like "toll-fraud dept" or "toll-fraud unit" on the back....

I think that, on balance, a degree of understated elegance is better...you want it to appear to just be an awesome shirt to the casual onlooker, and give just enough of a hint of message you're trying to convey to make anyone else interested in telephony interested in you. Shirts that blatantly say "I'm a criminal" are the easy, obvious route, and especially don't work when you're someone like me who doesn't commit toll fraud :)
