Hmmm... I had forgotten about testing the polls. It looks like they work!
I have to admit that as much as I try to be white hat, sometimes I have to use subversive tactics to get what I am looking for. I consider white hats to be those people who always stay within the law 100% of the time. I cannot honestly say that I fit that description.
I am gray hat, but a very, very, very light gray!
AND I WEAR IT BACKWARDS!!!!
I think there should be another option on the poll for people who don’t know/don’t want to say what “”hat”” they ware.
... I just clicked the edit poll button, but it did not give me any buttons to add extra items to the poll
there is! It says "I don't wear any fukking hats"

No law breaking, but defitely some questionable means.
I don't. They give my hair this weird halo looking thing, and it really freaks me out.
Seriously though, I'm not even sure what hat I would fall under. Probably gray, but I don't think I rock enough for a hat yet.....
  :flameon:
im in the right, most of the time.

Bi0s posted an interesting link from http://www.digitalrights.org/ to an article relating to this question. Go to his site and click through to the article.
In the middle are the gray hats, who are finding their once-acceptable acts, such as informing the public of company security holes, could now land them in jail.
basically, the DMCA (and other new laws) cause gray hats to "go rogue" or turn to the light. We no longer can be harmless hakkers anymore. :mumble:
