Running Java apps in executable format

3 posts in this topic

to weed myself from windows as much as possible, and yet still get all the functionality I need/want I was wondering how it would be possible to run these exam sims. I took a screenshot to help with the matter.

I installed java and used java -version to make sure it was installed correctly. Any help would be greatly appriciated. If this is not possible I do have vmware XP Pro/Win7 I can use.

It looks like you're executing Windows EXEs under *nix in Wine. If so, you also need to install the Windows version of Java in Wine, not just the Linux version of Java under Linux.

So I got the windows version of Java installed under WINE and every time I go to start that app I get an error log associated with java. For some reason I do not think i'll be getting this working under linux unless I run vmware with windows. Unless you have any other ideas I think that's what i'll do. If you do or do not have any better idea's I do appreciate your trying to help.
