Stop paying for tv service

Look into "FTA" or "FTA Receivers" Etc.

Just read up on the "Free to Air broadcasts"

You just buy a receiver, point your satellite at the orbiting satellite and you can get over 1,000 channels

Free.

I've heard of that, but I've never tried it. What kind of stuff is on there?

Lots of pron

It's a mix of direct tv and dish satellite stuff

It's not all cheap stuff either, you get all the channels for free, including those new releases direct tv normally makes you pay for.

You only need the satellite transmission code to connect, it's easy to find it online if you look, the scene is small, but it's there.

How are DirectTV and Dish still making money?

FTA is used by a small community, it's kind of like the psp hacking scene, just smaller.

Dish switched over to a new encryption scheme, "N3". Rumor in the scene states that is will be cracked any day now.

Awesome, because I haven't had a FTA receiver since the move from Cali.

I was pondering getting a new receiver since I moved, so this is good news.

Twin Lnb's are always a good choice if going FTA btw, because you'll get more bandwidth for more channels.

That's insane! I think when I go to college I am gonna try out this Free to Air Broadcast thing out! Why pay that much for DirectTV when you can get it for free?

Yeah, and you sometimes get to see movies which aren't out yet.

This is interesting, i actually checked the FTA thing out, online, and amazingly it's been out there for a long time. I am surely going to explore this FTA thing. Hope to come back here soon, with good news. Thanks to you all.
