Hijackthis? Is this sort of like a "stop the process and completely hijack" kinda thing or is it like MS Detours?

My talk wasn't accepted due to lack of spots available. Had I submitted my talk a week or two earlier, I'd be speaking. It was going to be on runtime process infection, a field I've been studying for the past while.

You should do an ignite talk at ToorCamp or something.

Despite your best efforts I will be there. I had to dodge the sniper's bullet and the assassin's blade but..wait...what?

Yeah, I'll be there. Plane should be touching down at 11pm on Tuesday.

Should I get a room (if any are still available) or does anybody have space available?

Don't forget that Black Hat is also happening just before DefCon.

They have a student rate...anyone who is taking 12 or more credits undergrad or 9 or more grad gets to go to Black Hat for 600 bucks instead of the usual 1400 and gets to got to DefCon for FREE.

If you work full-time and are taking online classes then this is a steal of a deal...a whole week of l33t hacking. The stuff of legends...

For people with iPhones Black Hat is going to show an exploit that allows you to run code using SMS, text messages. Talk about a cool hack, sending code that executes through text messages.

I may be able to make it this year. Depends on whether or not work gives up the days but if anyone (21 and older) is still considering and wants to drive down with me, assuming I go, send a message.

I'm in the SF bay area, and I got a sub-compact SUV which will comfortably hold 4 people. That number may change depending if some of my hacker buddies over here want to go. Economy has hit Cali real bad and people out here are cutting back on everything that isn't necessary.

I've never been there, but Mitch Altman talked about it at length and described some of their projects when he visited our hacker space. They appear to be especially focused on electronics hardware, like NYC Resistor.

I'd also like to hear some firsthand information about Noisebridge. Has anyone been there?
