(ARCHIVE) some numbers

1,263 posts in this topic

Someone asked for this, but here's some numbers I got from SE this one month a long time ago.

also this was submitted to www.digzine.com for issue #fear =)

some additional tmobile numbers:

877) 369-4588 Backdoor Tier 2, The Data Group Technical Support.

(888) 662-4662 NOC west

(888) 218-6664 NOC east

(800) 260-6003 California NOC

(888) 624-5173 Risk Assessment team

Switches:

PHX 602-643-3586 602-643-3081

OKC 405-270-5710

Austin TX 512-437-6599

Dallas TX 214-523-4183

HOuston TX 281-372-2800

San Antonio Call Austin

New Orleans 504-835-3434

Idaho call salt lake city

Hawaii 808-593-0074

Kansas City 816-936-6400

California LA Market:

213-346-0702

562-777-0600

714-446-0693

(This all came about because a friend of mine received a phone call on his cellphone from a number in the phx exchange for tmobile, and when he dialed it back he got a tmobile operator (office operator).

He had thought I was messing with him (for whatever reason... blah)

So I call the number to find out what its about. Then scan thru out that exchange and found the NSS and BSS switch numbers.

I was like "woo*!"

Then at night it would forward over to the NOC west.

From there I got every switch one by one without never really lying* to the Tmobile NOC/switch techs.

They just assumed if I said "this is jim from phx" they thought I meant I worked out of the switch in PHX. haha

=P

silly rabbits.

ok peace

I remember this list, how I fear the whodaddy list. Maybe we should start doing that again. As PnG is back up now.

516-365-9933 - The number to the switchroom at the Manhasset 5ESS. If I'm not mistaken, this is probably the CO that Bill O'Reilly is served out of.

516-365-9979 - Hello, you have reached the Savings Bank Life Insurance Department at Apple Bank. Please be advised that we have relocated this department to our new facility, at 1075 Central Park Avenue, Scarsdale, NY. If you wish to speak with a policy service representative, please call 914-721-2129. Thank you. (I never knew switchmen did recordings like this)

631-744-9926 - Answers and gives weird modulated beeping signal

843-661-0055 - Short burst of dialtone. It seems to respond to touchtones.

843-661-0058 - Picks up, very faint beeping in background. Ignores touchtones.

843-661-0059 - This line is busy. For a charge of one dollar and twenty-five cents, we will continue to try the number for the next thirty minutes. You will be notified by a special ring and automatically connected if it becomes available. No charge for repeat dial and complete choice customers. To accept, press one.

Please don't abuse the number to the switchroom. If it goes down, I'm not going to touch on any more topics that might be considered sensitive.

The number for the Alltel Operator went to somebody's cell phone. Since Alltel (well, Windstream now) is my local telco, any numbers pertaining to them are especially interesting to me. Thanks for posting these :)

Call and ask them if they need their air conditioning repaired, since it's so hot in Saskatchewan.

907-859-1111 - Yes, it may be T-Carrier, but what's nice is that you can hear a little burst of 'ST' tone right before the reorder comes on. How much of it you actually hear, though, depends on both your luck and ability to notice small details.

907-839-1212 - What is this? Ringing voltage being sent over carrier? Only in Alaska...

208-437-1212 - I have no idea who announces this, but I like her voice.

919-643-9999 - This is probably the best example out there of classic Carolina Telephone. Not only is it a Jane Barbe recording, it has the "This is a recording in City, State" text that most of you will recognize from Evan Doorbell's tapes. Also, it's a DMS-100, which is actually VERY Carolina Telephone. This company loves Nortel equipment. Even the payphones in this territory are Nortel (if you haven't been to places like these, they own Centurions with COCOT material, and Milleniums for the most part).

if we each took, say 10 pages. it wouldn't be that hard. i'll take 40-50 :-P

really though i could put the list together. but we need a team of people to test all the numbers. i'll take pages 10-19. if you want to help, message me before you start calling them all so you don't waste time on numbers you're not interested in. if you only want to call a few numbers that's ok too, every bit would help(let's keep it at 1 page minimum). if you hit a big list of numbers and need some help i'll call some. if the number has changed see if you can find the new one, and if it's changed and the new owner of the number is of interest then we'll add that.

once we get everything i'll arrange it into a more readable format. if possible make your list in a spreadsheet.

this can work. B)

How do you know that that switch is a tandem switch? You've told me before, I've forgotten.

The first tipoff is the CLLI; in most tandem switches, the code will end in 'T', as in this example, it's SKTNSK0105T. The second one is that it's listed as a DMS-200 in Telcodata. While they *are* somewhat inaccurate, if you scan around that exchange a bit, it'll be come apparent that it's no end office.

How so? I don't particularly want to scan that exchange from here (as it's long distance) if there are plenty of supervising numbers. If its mostly going to generate intercepts then i'll see for myself. Which is it? I'ma ssuming intercepts mostly, but I just wanted to ask :)

The video store is now closed and only used for storage.
