Interesting malware behavior

2 posts in this topic

All my google queries are good and all, but whenever I click one, it leads me to the standard shit sites that "search" for exactly what I need. But if I enter the URL, or enter the search term ex. "linux" into the URL bar, it leads me to the best site, like it's supposed to. (Using FireFox). Does anyone know what can be causing this behavior? Is it a simple malware that intercepts my traffic, or is it fucking with the hosts file, or it's embedded itself into FF?

IE crashes my PC

FF has no suspicious addons, but my entire hosts file is filled with entries for super xxx hot porno and whatnot. I just need to find what's running on port 80 on my PC. Any ideas on what software I can use to get this?

just sounds like you have been infected with some malware, try running an online virus scanner to remove it
