Whats your Hacking Music?

I like to listen to gay porn while I hack the gibson....I mean I like modern rock regardless of what I'm doing. I also like to listen to Frank Sinatra when I'm really trying to concentrate.

I often listen to the soundtrack of the movie Hackers, and I always skip the first track.

Hacking music huh? Let's see, anything mellow, electronic, and non distracting is pretty much it.

Whatever is playing in my 100 gig music selection. If I don't want to listen to that song I push the next button. One of my playlists is all my music. I always have it on random play.

When I first got in to hacking the album de jour was Orgy - Candyass. To this day if I am having problems with something if I put that album on then my brain seems to just work better and the problem gets solved much faster.

I listen to ATB, Orbital, Prodigy, Daft Punk, Le Castle Vania, Tiesto, and stuff along those lines. Oh and Bjork's "Army Of Me" is pretty sick too.

Thievery Corp. Team Sleep and Crystal Castles all do just fine for me.

Also, when I first started I only listened to Kraftwerk.

Hacking music? For me it's usually hip-Hop, mostly old skool artists, but some new school too... And grime music. Probably different then what most hackers listen to. It just hypes me. The Game, Tech N9ne, Public Enemy, Cypress Hill, Canibus (especially. Hes not exactly nerd core or anything, but his lyrics are very scientific and deep), Snoop Dogg, Nas, The Firm (I love their Phone Tap song, crazy beat), K-Swift, etc. etc. Anybody who digs grime should check out K-Swift's music (RIP, god bless her soul), especially her Firewalk with Us remixes. They're amazing.

Hell yea, Immortal Technique is awesome. Not sure if I'd call it my hacking music, but his shit is unbelievably deep and to the soul... and he speaks from all angles. He's one of the few rappers to be keeping hip-hop alive in the sense of the culture... Rep all Five Elements!!

Unfortunately unless I do really easy autonomous tasks, I require silence to do anything. When I do listen to music it's either Rock or Industrial though.

I love The Offspring, their older music is better than their new stuff imo.

Classical music. Traditional Indian\Chinese\Japanese music. Anything with lyrics will distract me.
