N. Hampton Switch

2 posts in this topic

Ok, so I was aimlessly wandering the streets in N. Hampton Ma, when I came accross this conspicuously squat building with no windows and Big Verizon logo on it. I figured it held switches and such since I saw all the cans around it. Anyway, I went to where the main door of was, and I saw a phone... Next to it were a list of numbers for supervisors and such. Well, I didn't get a chance to dial it because i was running late to begin with and I would miss the bus. I recorded the number of a COCOT or BOCOT in the arcade accross the street.

The number is 413-584-6931, so I got home and called it and I got a low tone followed by a high tone that seems to want some sort of acknowledgment(?).

Anyway, what I really am asking is; since I was not able to dial out and get to my favorite ANAC, is there a way I can find out the number of that phone and possible the switch, by scanning 413-584-xxxx?

Oh yeah and call the payphone, it's kinda cool.

I think i know the phone youre talking about actually.

When you call and press numbers it distorts the pitch of the high tone.

But You dont hear any of the dtmf tones.

I dont know what it means, but it an interesting find.
