What are some good books on hacking, with examples and real stories and such :P . I just finished reading the Art of Intrusion by Kevin Mitnick and I loved it. What would you guys recommend that is in the same field and is also recent B) ?

depends if you want to read semi-ficitional book or not. There are tons I can probably sprout 5 off just by going to a book store website and looking it up.

Also there's a couple of magazines out there that I've heard are pretty good. 2600, hackin9, and wired. However, I've heard that wired is pretty much a joke. Any truth to this? Anyone? Also does anyone know if any of these are worth shelling out the bucks to subscribe to?

Wired has nothing to do with hacking. It's a cultural/tech magazine. It is certainly good, and for adults.

I bought Steal This Computer Book 4.0. It was pretty good.

No. No semi-fictional stuff. I want real stories and such with examples and explanations :P

Designing BSD rootkits, an Introduction to kernel hacking is a good read.

Also I suggest:

Counter Hack - good book that teaches the basics on security

Unix Unleashed, 4th Edition

Unix Weekend Crash Course if you are in a rush

Hacking - A nice low level book. You can find it at thinkgeek.com

Networking Complete

Some of these may be at your local library - most were for me.
