Need some insight into a #.

9 posts in this topic

Just got a call from a # 155-943-7535 and when i checked it on google found a site where people said they've gotten calls from this # after the ordered from pizza hut. It's supposedly from West Saharah and we need info before our credit gets fucked with.

That number isn't assigned.

And no, by that, I don't mean it's unassignable or undialable.

EDIT: Wait, I'm confused. Is '1' part of the number itself, or just added on by the CID equipment?

1 is part of the #.

That's obviously spoofed. There are no NPAs that begin with 1.

It's a country code.

Then correct me if I am wrong, but shouldn't it look more like: # 155-XXX-943-7535 Or how is the country code going to show like that? Only reference I found to it was an emergancy # from Czech Rep.

Ooh good point. if you type the # into google you'll get sites with people saying pizza hut.

The only way I can see it being a country code is if the caller id function of the phone only displayed 10 digits instead of the fully qualified international number.

yeah. because an international number should have been longer. where did you get the call? try redialing and maybe you can get the whole number or it might display it. how did you know its from the western sahara?
