Thumb Drive Organization

4 posts in this topic

Ok I plan on having thumb drives that host a number of applications for various purposes. However, I would like a quick way of being able to tell what all I have on a particular drive (because I am forgetful as can be). Righting notes and wrapping them seems tacky and inconvenient. I haven't figured out a good way of labeling them either because of their size. How do you keep track? Especially if you have multiples of the same size and brand?

I have one of these http://www.supermediastore.com/pqi-micro-s...erm=ME-003-9964

I just simply replace the SD card. but any ways I have four cards. I label them L,W,D,O

L = Linux

W = Windows

D = documents and media

O = other

keeping the same type of apps on the same drive is also help for.

like all networking, CLI, whole OSes, etc

I use to have around ten thumb drives. from 128MB to 1GB, now I have 1GB, 2GB, 2x 4GB
