Can somebody here explain to me how to follow proper headings? When I take off from SF, it appears that I am flying 33 degrees west. I head that way for a while and try to turn around to approach the runway again to attempt to land. Besides East, what specific hash mark or number around the east indicator do I head toward? The only numbers that surround east are something like 3-15.

Has anybody here had a successful landing?

Best I can figure so far: opposite of w30 is e12. I had a successful and surprisingly smooth landing in the SR22. Thing is, it was in the actual bay before the landing strip. It doesn't recognize it as water and simply lands as if it were runway. You can probably land on any street, house, car, etc that doesn't appear to have any elevation.
