Try typing "man hydra" on the command line. Google the parts you don't understand. If that doesn't help you, come back and I'll tell you how.

Not trying to be a douche (hence the help if you still can't find your answer), but learning to learn will help you more than you realize.

OK thanks.. i have no problem researching it and figuring it out myself..i was just worried about not getting in trouble for only a test sample..thats kinda stupid dont you think? Just wanted it all to be right..

But ill do what you said and see if i can do it..

Edit**

I tryed typing "man hydra" and it says that it isn't recongnized. Do you mean just "hydra", that brings up an entire options list that explains how to use it.. I bet thats what im looknig for.. I'll start looking up this stuff and putting it all together..Thanks Edited by Cusefan14324

so you are using windows, not linux.. the little blurb that would come up from typing hydra isnt as good as a man page... id maybe look through thc.org , and see if the man page or any sort of guide is there

http://www.thc.org/thc-hydra/README That also gives me a lot of imformation about it..So i think thats the "man" page.

set HYDRA_PROXY_HTTP="http://ip:port/"

Now do i just use that or do i fill it in with somthing?? See i usually dont do work with proxyies so im a little bit confused on all this..

Edit**

Another quick question: Say i have a text file with a list of different ip's (one line each) is there a way that i can just set it for that?? And have it use those ip's? Edited by Cusefan14324

man page is short for Manual page (Man page)

Also, you might be more comfortable the GUI version of Hydra; sorry, no link.

From the THC-Hydra ReadME
HOW TO SCAN/CRACK OVER A PROXY
------------------------------
The environment variable HYDRA_PROXY_HTTP defines the web proxy (this works
just for the http/www service!).
The following syntax is valid:
HYDRA_PROXY_HTTP="http://123.45.67.89:8080/"
For all other services, use the HYDRA_PROXY_CONNECT variable to scan/crack
via a web proxy's CONNECT call. It uses the same syntax. eg:
HYDRA_PROXY_CONNECT=proxy.anonymizer.com:8000
If you require authentication for the proxy, use the HYDRA_PROXY_AUTH
environment variable:
HYDRA_PROXY_AUTH="the_login:the_password"
See i dont kno much about proxyies and ive tried doing some research on them. I havnt really needed to use one till now. So i need a little help with that. Which one would i use and how would i set it up?? I think i would use the Connect but i still wouldnt kno how to set it up so i dont get in any trouble.

Edit**

I think i have it.. Would this work??
HYDRA_PROXY_HTTP="http://212.12.163.72:80/"
is that right?? Or do i have to use the CONNECT one?? Does it matter which one i use..like could i use either one?? If so which one is more efficeint and safe?? Edited by Cusefan14324
