Do you mean a proxy?

Try http://www.w00tage.com/ as a starting point.

Also look into Tor

Your external ip is set by your isp, so either you/someone else did something bad and had your ip range blocked by those sites, or the isp is blocking those sites for one reason or another.

LOL ip changer. Get a new ISP.

Yeah, f you want to get past a filter use a proxy it doesn't actualy change your IP though, it just hides it with its own.

Moved to NHQ.

umm you could have a static ip... one thing you can do is unplug you modem for an hour or so, or when you leave for work or something and it should change. also if your running firefox a simple thing you can do is go to

"tools"

"options"

"advanced"

"network" tab

"settings"

**click**

"Automatic proxy configuration URL:"

**input**

now this may or may not work for certain people, and other people have different ways of doing this or different ideas.

One thing you can do is call your ISP and tell them things are messed up but not too messed up that they will send somebody out. It's not too hard so SE them into changing it.

what kidn of connection do you have? if its not changing it its most likely you have cable?

you could take a look at sMAC to modify your modem's MAC... i think irongeek had also created a mac spoof tool, you might want to check you his site as well...

good luck

When you use the 'turn it off for a while' method and when you plug back in it could of changed, is this due to the DHCP server leasing the dynamic IP for a certain amount of time and said licence expiring?

You can download Firefox, and install FoxyProxy. It worked for me when I got banned from www.Gamebattles.com.

Change Your IP

1) right Your ip down on a paper

2) Unplug Your modem

3) in ms Dos Type: ipconfig/all

4) Now in MS Dos Type: ipconfig/release

5) Now put your modem Together

6) When The Modem is Connected it Wont be connected To The internet

7) Now Type ipconfig/renew (When u do stage 7 you Should now be connected To the internet)

8) Check your ip from www.whatismyip.com And it Should be Changed...

or you can do this

start = run = ipconfig/release = ipconfig/renew

If he is behind a router using NAT, which I'll assume he is, the ipconfig commands are only going to serve to change his computer's IP address assigned by the router.

However, power cycling the modem should change the WAN IP address.
