well this is kinda gay and should be closed with in week but seriously make a choice and see how your version of linux stands up to others in overall productivity on all subjects(office, programming, web server)

Yes, this is very gay. You should read the forums instead of instantly making posts.

http://www.binrev.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=25329 (same thread as this)

http://www.binrev.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=23377 (same thing without poll)

http://www.binrev.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=23241 (slack vs zen)

Every answer will be different because usability and productivity are subjective means of measurement.

OS X != linux. Sure, it's based on unix, but.. OS X = crap.

hey guys, lets not break out a holy war.

if you have an opinion about a certain distro, can we please just state that i like "distro A" because it does...

or i don't like the idea of "distro B" because it does...

i think that way we can all get along better.

I've been running nothing but slack on my systems for a few years and don't intend to switch anytime soon.

It is not based off UNIX, it is based off bsd which was written to be compatible with UNIX.

Each one is for a different purpose.

OS X is a very good OS but it has some memory management problems.
