I need help

5 posts in this topic

I have a DWL-G510 card in my desktop PC. I was playing with MakeMac and changed my Mac address ands some other things, now Windows XP won't recognize my card. I have already reformatted but still with no luck I get, "This device can't start Code 10" when I try to reinstall the drivers. And to add to that the D-link configuration software won't recognize my card.

Sorry for sounding like a noob, and please excuse my grammar/spelling. (It's 6am)

Edit:. It works with a SLAX CD I have laying around. But I still need it to work in XP.

Have you tried removing the device itself from "Device Manager"?

What you've done is fouled up the registry metadata. Easiest would be to remove the device and let PnP redetect it again.

Never mind I switched the card and my 56k modem . (I switched the placement of them on my computer)
