T-Mobile

4 posts in this topic

As mentioned on the last Off the Hook, you may receive crosstalk when dialing a T-Mobile phone. Emmanuel said he gets it maybe one out of every ten calls, and from what I've seen that estimate is accurate.

One other thing I've noticed is a long waiting period before being transferred to voicemail. For example, I'll dial my T-Mobile phone with it sitting right next to me, and it doesn't ring. Odd enough, but then I hear an empty hum (if you know phones you should know what I mean, it's almost like waiting for someone to enter a loop). The emptiness is there for a minute or two, then comes the ring of my voicemail. Whether this is the silent equivalent of the crosstalk I'm not sure, but it's pretty interesting. It's almost as though your call gets lost out there, and then finally finds its way to your voicemail.
