5 posts in this topic

Ok, I know this is probobly a stupid question but I have a windows box and I want to make it so that all the folders display stuff in detail mode. I know you can do it under view, but is their a way to apply that to every folder on the pc?

Thanks

There should be a tab in that very same window where you can copy the setting of the current folder to every one on your computer. Alternatively, I hear that once you configure a windows the way you'd like it to be set up, you can press and hold CTRL while clicking the "X" to close it, and it should make every folder like that as well.

It's early and I can't remember if that works or not.

Thanks the controll clickng the X didn't work but I found a different way. What I did was set the properties I wanted and then went into tools > folder options, clicked the view tab and clicked the Apply to all folders button.

Set the view up the way you want it, then click Tools > Folder Options.  Select the View tab and click the Apply to all Folders button.  That's for XP...

Dude, did you even read the thread?
