  1. Crashed on me after 2mins of using it. I could click everything and stuff but nothing would happen.
  2. The Department for IT Security in Germany has warned users to use use Google Chrome due to privacy invasions. It was even on the radio today.,1518,576664,00.html I couldn't find an English source, sorry for that.
  3. I thought other kids are mean? Not really. Until you get suspended, that is. But I thought the other kids are mean? I couldn't think of a better comment than the last sentence of your post. Dude, no offense, but why does it seem to me that you just post if you want to express that you disagree with someone?
  4. Sounds very interesting. Can't wait for the Linux version to be released!
  5. cmd.exe ?!? I don't get what you want... Do you want a Linux shell? O.o
  6. Were you sure to use the right type of hash? Are the hashes salted or not?
  7. Indeed, it was. Don't get me wrong, but I didn't trust the Chinese from the start.
  8. but winxp had enhancements for the average really doesn't so why upgrade Yeah, Vista just rearranged some things so you have to look for stuff you already knew in WinXP... nothing new to find though.
  9. Thanks for your reply. I came across that, too... but even when I run mtp-detect as root it fails so I don't think it's got something to do with the permissions. I've googled my ass off and been trying to fix this thing over the past three and a half hours, I've read tons of forum posts with possible solutions but nothing worked... I'm gonna try some more. If noone here can help me I think I'll have to stick to MSC ^^
  10. I'm trying to get MTP working in Ubuntu 8.04.1 and it's really making my life hell! I recently bought a Sandisk Sansa C250 and syncronizing it with WMP under WinXP worked well and smoothly. However since I'm using Ubuntu more and more now I'd like to be able to sync it using Amarok. Setting the device to MSC works fine, but I don't like to just drag&drop my files onto the drive, that's why I wanna use MTP. I know it's lame, but I like the convenience. Yet it's just been a pain in the ass so far. When I plug in the sansa it is recognized by Ubuntu, it's being mounted, there's an icon on the desktop and I can browse it using Nautilus. philipp@booster:/usr$ lsusb Bus 005 Device 056: ID 0781:7450 SanDisk Corp. Sansa C250 Bus 005 Device 003: ID 05e3:0702 Genesys Logic, Inc. MX510 Optical Mouse Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 Looks fine to me and the player is also listed when I run mtp-hotplug, so it should be supported, right? Yet running mtp-detect outputs this: philipp@booster:/usr$ mtp-detect libmtp version: Attempting to connect device(s) PTP: Opening session PTP_ERROR_IO: Trying again after re-initializing USB interface usb_claim_interface(): No such device LIBMTP PANIC: Could not open session on device 1 LIBMTP PANIC: configure_usb_devices() error code: 7 on line 1599 Detect: There has been an error connecting. Exiting Why does it say "Could not open session on device 1" when lsusb lists it as Bus 005 Device 056: ID 0781:7450 SanDisk Corp. Sansa C250? Also the player often crashes when I connect it to the computer so I have to remove the batterie and re-insert it to get it working again... Since Amarok itself won't even recognize a thing remotely similar to the player I've been trying to just get it working on a basic level, but even this has been in vain. I am using libmtp7 and libusb-0.1-4. If anyone here could help me out I'd greatly appreciate it! //Edit: Ok, so the desktop Icon says it's a Media Player and not a USB Mass Storage Device. And it shows up in Rhythmbox, but I can't do anything with it and I can't view the songs that are already on it... don't know where to go from here...
  11. First of all, way to thread hijack! And I don't think anybody here is going to answer your question... you might want to check the forum rules.
  12. I wanted a quick and easy way to extract the audio from YouTube (music)videos which are stored in one folder. @ECHO OFF IF "%1"=="" GOTO END IF NOT EXIST %1 mkdir %1 FOR %%a in (*.flv) do helper.bat %1 %%a %2 :END HELPER.BAT SET _Path=%1 SET _FileName=%2 SET _FileName=\%_FileName:~0,-4%.mp3 FOR /f "tokens=1,2 delims=-" %%a in ("%_FileName%") do set _Interpret=%%a&set _SongTitle=%%b SET _Interpret=%_Interpret:_= % SET _SongTitle=%_SongTitle:_= % ffmpeg -i %2 -acodec "copy" -title "%_SongTitle:~1,-4%" -author "%_Interpret:~1,-1%" %_Path%%_FileName% IF "%3"=="-d" DEL %2 SET _Path= SET _FileName= Uses ffmpeg.
  13. Hahaha good edit!
  14. No, unfortunately not Is there any way to find out about that by sniffing or anything?
  15. Jesus Christ, I don't even know what to say... ...
