  2. Well yeah, ICS is crap, kind of par for the course if yr dealing in Windows. Best to avoid it all together if you've got the means, and hooking up via wifi is a great way to do that. Rereading your post, I'm not sure exactly what your slackware machine is, but when I was learning Linux, nothing taught me quite as much as trying to get my crappy netgear wireless PC card with the infamous RTL8180 chipset working flawlessly on my Slackware laptop. Google really is your friend... don't forget to post back and tell us how it went!
