  1. That's nothing related to cracking. Cracking as he means here is the process of reverse engineering binaries in order to remove copy protections. First, start off with a good assembly language book. If you've never coded before, watch out, it might be hard. I suggest you get a book like "Assembly language Step-by-Step" by Jeff Duntemann. Quite a good language to learn asm. Once you're good at it, start looking at these tutorials on underground cracking groups. Quick googling for some cracking underground groups with tutorials and challenges gave me this result: http://www.reteam.org/ However, if you google harder, you can find many tutorials and groups. Thanks a lot. This is what I was looking for. And I have little experience in programming (BASIC, Python, simple ones like that), so I'll practice some more, but this helped me out. Canadian pride!
  2. Nonono, I already know how to do that. That's the simple stuff. I already use plenty of ISOs. I want to be able to create things like no-cd/dvd cracks.
  3. Alright, I've been wondering. Where do I start on cracking software? From what I understand, you either go into a certain file or registry key and change the variable to contradict itself, or you go into a file and change what it's heading to trick the program and make it believe that information is there when it really isn't (CD, DVD, etc.). If I'm right, then how do I do these things? If not, then give me something that I can learn from. I look at all these new programs and they have so many directories and strings everywhere and I think if I'm just starting, I need to start with some kind of tutorial program. A tutorial, a lesson, anything that could get me started will be most appreciated. And BTW, if this is necessary, I'm more interested in computer game cracking. I would also enjoy to learn how to make a downgrader for PSP firmwires. (And yes I know that is very challenging.)
  4. Alright, I'm not sure if it's already been posted, but here's a link to a tough-ass puzzle game. http://deathball.net/notpron/ Good luck. (About 100 people have beaten it. 100 out of 10,000,000 players.)
  5. Hmm, I never noticed that. Thanks for that bit of information.
  6. Thanks man. You rock.
  7. I know I should be ashamed asking this, considering the fact that I've built many PCs, but how can you find the motherboard's socket type without looking at the motherboard manual. I want to upgrade my girlfriend's crappy processor, but she doesn't have the manual for her motherboard. We have some major gameage to play and her processor is a POS.
  8. Thank you very much.
  9. My friends gave me a CD with their live gig they did, the only problem is that it's one continuous 38 minute track with nine songs. They've asked me to separate them into separate tracks, and I thought I could do it with MS Movie Maker, but I couldn't (or I just haven't found out how to). If anybody knows of any program that I could use to do this task, please tell me. I would also like to know if it's freeware or not. If so, please tell me where I can go to acquire it, if not, I'll find a way to get it...
  10. Alright, thanks.
  11. UPDATE REPORT: Now whenever I switch to PCI on the system BIOS, insted of me having to switch the output to onboard, a blue screen with a bunch of white text appears for about half a second, then the computer restarts, and it keeps doing this until I switch back to onboard on the BIOS. I don't know if this is a progress, or decline... Please help me.
  12. I'm not going to share my girlfriend's files with you guys and it doesn't matter anyway. We already cracked it.
  13. Does anyone know how to bypass or hack a microsoft word file with a password on it. My girlfriend made one a while ago and lost the password, so I told her I'd ask around. EDIT: Nevermind, found a program
  14. Like I said, I know a little more than the average 15 year old, but nobody trusts me with their computer. I fixed two of my friend's computers, but still nobody trusts me. And I can assemble a computer, but nobody wants a custom computer...
  15. Damn it sucks for you, I had similar money problems. Just try to get a web design project going, I got $500 yesterday from the one I finished, I'm sure you probably know some HTML... I do, but not enough to do web design. Luckily I'm taking a web design class this year.
