  1. Have you thought about putting a notice on the website itself? If you're getting that many hits, I'm sure there's someone who cares enough to help.
  2. Sweet concept, but won't this be a little crowded? I mean, just having 5 or 6 people on a line gets crazy. Are you going to mute people during presentations and whathaveyou? Either way, I love the idea and I'll prolly call in
  3. Decided to go and I'm glad I went. Small group though.
  4. I just found out that there's a 2600 group in Rochester and they meet tonight. Unfortunately, they meet at a place that's a bit of a drive for me and I was more or less planning on taking it easy tonight. Are those meetings worth going to? What's generally discussed? Anyone here from that exact group [i ask because their website links to Irongeek and Binrev, so I figure they'd be forum members] ?
  5. No worries, I found a better way. I'm sure this is common knowledge, but to those of you who almost never deal with spreadsheets such as myself, here's a tip: You can use "protection" in excel so that certain cells are locked (completely unmodifiable except by formulas) and others are open. Tools > Protection.
  6. I'm at work right now and one of my coworkers wants to make an excel spreadsheet PDF that allows for certain fields to be modified (we've all seen PDF forms; same general idea). Does anyone know how to do that?
  7. Very cool, but I didn't like the compiz stuff. Other than that, dope!
  8. *the 4chan is binrev keeps showing its ugly face* Hey taco. Welcome to BinRev! Before you start posting, you should head on over to the Forum Rules and see what we're all about. If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the newbee section or PM someone.
  9. It's amazing how you can stare at a man page for so long and miss something that sticks out like a soar thumb. Thanks man.
  10. When I run a script I wrote with cURL, it always give me the following output: % Total % Received % Xferd Average Speed Time Time Time Current Dload Upload Total Spent Left Speed 100 1857 100 1857 0 0 7816 0 --:--:-- --:--:-- --:--:-- 0 How do I get rid of that?
  11. On order, but I don't know when I'll get to play with it.
  12. Sorry for the misprints on version numbers. All in all, I'm pretty surprised to see no love whatsoever for Fedora 11. But if I could vote, I woulda put Win7.
  13. Someone should tell them that the batteries need to be replaced
  14. I'm not too deep into the whole phreaking scene, but my first little bit was a loopback number (I think that's what it's called), where you pick up a pay phone and dial 980-[last 4 of the phone itself], hang up, and like 5 seconds later it would ring. It was a lot of fun for a 13 year old in crowded areas. Oh, and beige boxing.
  15. Free dialup is nothing new. Back in the good ol' boarding school days, we used to order it as a way to get around the parental filters. Totally wasn't worth it.
