  1. http://airsnort.shmoo.com/ "AirSnort is a wireless LAN (WLAN) tool which recovers encryption keys. AirSnort operates by passively monitoring transmissions, computing the encryption key when enough packets have been gathered." It looks like there's a lot of support for Orinoco cards. Good luck.
  2. What makes you think Star38 is out of business?
  3. Does anyone here use covertcall? Did the service go down or just the web site?
  4. DB-9 serial maybe? Its wierd that the connector is female, though. I have no idea why there would be an eigth-inch jack on the other end.
  5. How many holes?
  6. Can you photograph the pins on the top cable?
  7. To be fair, you also forgot that the Roman Empire fell.
  8. I registered September 4, 2003, a solid three months before you did.
  9. No, you're wrong. When you posted originally about Rome you phrased it in the present tense, referring to present-day Rome.
  10. I have the same router, different problems. The wireless connection on it has been flaky since day one. It drops the connection at random intervals. Sometimes it comes back, sometimes not. The wired ports don't seem to be affected. I've tried moving it, upgrading the firmware (twice), resetting it to factory defaults, and punching it in the face. Finally last Tuesday I called Linksys to get an RMA, which was an extremely annoying process requiring too many fucking phone calls. I selected three-day FedEx shipping and its six days later and I do not have the replacement router. Fuck linksys up their stupid asses.
  11. http://offgrid.cjb.net/ Its pretty ironic that these nitwits have a web page to promote living off the grid. I mention this only because it seems to fit in with "not leaving a trail."
  12. Golf isn't bigoted, egotistical, or racist. Some people who play golf are those things, but most are not.
  13. Will Ferrell is a comic genius.
  14. Belgarath - How often do you find yourself using regular expressions at the command line? What are you using, perl shell?
  15. I've always had a half-baked idea about drilling a hole through the casing of a hard disk and submerging it in some kind of corrosive liquid. If the platters get soaked with some kind of acid, thats pretty much the ballgame, right?
