  1. If any of you play MUDs I found a MUD that is a simulation of arpanet/usenet. It seems pretty cool, here is the description they have on mudconnect: Telehack is a simulation of a sylized arpanet/usenet, circa 1985-1990. It is a full multi-user simulation, including 25,000 hosts and BBS's the early net, thousands of files from the ero, a collection of adventure and IF games, a working BASIC interpreter with a library of programs to run, simulated historical users, and more. $ telnet telehack.com Trying 64.13.147.30... Connected to telehack.com. Escape character is '^]'. Connected to TELEHACK port 16 It is 2:22 pm on Monday, May 9, 2011 in Mountain View, California, USA There are 3 local users. There are 24139 hosts on the network. Type ? for a command list. Type HELP for a more detailed command listing. Type control-C to interrupt any command. May the command line live forever. Recent changes: * Type BASIC then DIR to see all .bas programs * Type ZRUN for a list of all adventure games * New! Telehack documention: TYPE telehack.txt Command, one of the following: basic dir finger help hosts ipaddr joke login netstat newuser ping starwars telnet traceroute type usenet users zrun . You can just go to their webpage, www.telehack.com and it has a simulated console that you can use to play. Or you can telnet to www.telehack.com port 23.
  2. QFT If you want to do a good senior prank, edit the registry and make all the computers boot into PROGMAN.EXE instead of Explorer.exe. The computers will boot into the shell that Windows 3.1 used, and will confuse everyone, I'm sure. I did it to my school the day before I got expelled (for other things) and they ended up buying all new computers. It should give you a few laughs. lol just reading it gave me a few laughs i might try tht instead idk ive got a good 4 months to plan everything out and think about different ideas I know there's a rule about not flaming noobs, but Chugamug-- you're an idiot.
  3. Write an anonymous email to the head of security of the building, then burn the papers. Unless you want to be a douchebag.
  4. haven't fux0red with it too much but would google.com/sites accept your own HTML? http://x10hosting.com/ You can get www.your-address.pcriot.com And there are no templates or anything, you FTP (Or whatever) in, upload your files, and viola.
  5. By "See how it was before it was assembled or compiled" do you mean view the source code? The only way to do that would be to use a decompiler, but you won't really get something that's very useful, you'll lose all your variable names and such. Usually what people use is called a disassembler or debugger, if you're using Windows, a popular option is ollydbg-- www.ollydbg.de -- which allows you to see each assembly-level instruction as your computer executes it, as well as the contents of all of the CPU registers and other information that is way above my level of knowledge. Another popular option, is hiew (or hview, I've seen it called both) which is short for Hacker's View, it is console based, but it does a pretty damn good job of showing you exactly what a program is doing-hiew website-. I know very little about disassembling and reverse engineering programs, but a good place to get a start is just by googling "x86 assembly tutorial" or something similar. You might also want to start looking into crackme's and reverseme's, which are puzzles hackers make where the goal is to circumvent some software protection, or some other similar goal. -Wikipedia article- -Collection of Crackmes- There are a lot of much more intelligent and learned hackers on here who will be able to help you much more than I can, but I'd highly suggest taking a peek at the stuff above, and hopefully it will serve you well. [/$0.02] I have tried to decompile stuff before, like c++ docuents i normally get sytax stuff like missing cli header or other stuff. I am not going to lie i am trying to get the sorce code for bioshock to write a cheat so i can beat the game much easier. I have an aimbot algorithum, but i need the integer names. I am deff going to download the disassebler tho that you recommended. Will the .exe be a bunch of differen stuff? I decompiled a system.mrs (like i said first) to edit xml documents for better XP in gunz: the duel and fallout 3, but bioshock seems to be a little more complex... Also a small addition, does anyone know how to write an aimbot algorithum. (i don't use them for multiplayer, just single play to rape the computer ) I am still a novice at this type of c++ but im getting there :-) Thanks everyone! Edit: that crack me website states that they crack software the legal way? A) i didnt know it was illegal to alter it for my own use? they dont explain how it is made legal on the site? How is it made legal? The legality of this suprises me, maybe it is time to abandon this project haha. I have no idea how to go about modifying the code to Bioshock, but as far as the legality of cracking programs, I believe (and keep in mind I am not a lawyer) that it's only illegal to crack a program if you're breaking their Terms of Service, or you're modifying the program to bypass copy restrictions, or mandatory registration, etc. EG: Modifying Solitaire so that the cards show naked ladies probably isn't illegal, but modifying Microsoft Office so you can distribute it across p2p networks probably is. Again, I am not a lawyer.

  7. Alright, as promised, attached is a tarballed xcf file of my creation. Again, its innacurate-- I don't have the fonts that the DMV uses, so I just chose the closest ones I could. There are font packs on the internet that have attempted to recreate these fonts. I believe one of the font packs is called "nobelcat" or "noblecat", I've seen both spellings, but I have not been able to find them. I wouldn't try to make an ID with this, as any competent bouncer would spot it as a fake right away, but feel free to play around with it. CA_DL.xcf.tar.gz
  8. If you used your own license as a template, that would mean you are a California native, correct? It's never a good idea to use a fake license for a state in that state. That type of discussion is beyond the scope of this board, though. It should be common sense. Apart from the concentric circle patterns, California ID's have a hologram, magnetic strip, and three different UV colors. If you are just doing this for fun, I applaud your hard work and conquering of challenges. You asked for suggestions, and my suggestion is to not do anything illegal with it. If you want to drink, have someone older buy you alcohol. If you're in it for the bars, you're not missing anything except for a thin wallet. It's not all it's cracked up to be. I'm over 21, and yeah, I'm just doing this for fun, I won't be trying to make any fake ID's.
  9. I based that off of my Driver's License, which I got renewed in 2009. That being said, my driver's license has one of those red bars on it, which is put on the driver's licenses of people who are under 21, so it might not have as stringent of security measures. However, if you were making a driver's license in order to get drinks when you're under 21, I believe this would be a better bet, because, really, who gets a fake ID with one of the red bars on it? It just seems more realistic to play a person who just turned 21 a few months ago and hasn't gotten a new ID yet. I'm gonna modify it a bit more, see if I can add a few more things, I'll upload it no later than tomorrow morning. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks, FLW
  10. Yeah, so I got bored these past few days, fired up GIMP, and made this template of a CA Driver's License. The fonts are wrong, and I'm missing the "DMV" in the corners, but other than that, it seems good to go. Would it be against the rules for me to post it on BinRev? Attached is an example I made with good ol' Michael Jackson:
  11. Hey, so I found a little collection of CompSec related EBooks here. That website actually has a ton of different ebooks on a very wide variety of CompSci related subjects.
  12. Do you have an .iso anywhere? You burn the file ending in .iso to your CD.
  13. ohai! And, Ohai!
  14. So for the past 5 years or so, I've focused on programming. As a result of that, I don't know much about networking, setting up LANs, etc. Does anyone have any resources that could help an intrepid hacker such as myself? More specifically, does anyone have any information on how to set up a network with multiple QEmu processes? ALso, does anyone have any suggestions on a lightweight pen-testing* package? I've only got my shoddy 4 year old laptop to do this all on, Windows XP on QEmu already slows my computer down enough, so I'd need something lightweight so I'm not taken back to the speed of a 1990's era PC. *Or just a lightweight *nix that is a good starting point. I've got Damn Small Linux, is that a good starting point? I'm still searching the net on the above and Ring TFM, but I figured I'd ask here too. Basically, I've seen a lot of people setting up labs with VMware and Virtualbox-- Is QEmu as effective? Sorry, I suck at asking questions. Thanks, FLW_FTW
