  1. I to once had a blog and it looked exactly like yours. I think we both got our themes at the same place! Anyhow, nice blog. Good info. Keep it up. - solid332
  2. I could be wrong, but Excel uses the following algorithms: Weak Encryption (XOR) Office 97/2000 Compatible RC4, Microsoft Base Cryptographic Provider v1.0 RC4, Microsoft Base DSS and Diffie-Hellman Cryptographic Provider RC4, Microsoft DH SChannel Cryptographic Provider RC4, Microsoft Enhanced Cryptographic Provider v1.0 RC4, Microsoft Enhanced DSS and Diffie-Hellman Cryptographic Provider RC4, Microsoft Enhanced RSA and AES Cryptographic Provider (Prototype) RC4, Microsoft RSA SChannel Cryptographic Provider RC4, Microsoft Strong Cryptographic Provider I don't think Cain supports these. Can anyone confirm? -solid
  3. This might sound kinda newbish, but I'm looking for an opensource utility (live distro?) that can crack an MS Office password. More specifically, Excel 2000. I've searched Google, but have only come up with commercial software. Does anyone know of an opensource/live distro that will do the job? - solid332
  4. Sounds to me like a problem with your windows desktop resolution. If you have it set to high like 1280 x 1024 or have a resolution that is not supported by your monitor, you will receive a black seen right after windows login. If you are using and LCD monitor, try unplugging it and using a CRT monitor instead. Once in your Windows desktop, lower your resolution to 1024x768 and lower your refresh rate to 60Hrz. Once you apply these settings, switch back to your LCD. - solid
  5. This may be already known, but I heard someone mention a new keylogger that sits beneath the application layer. This makes it virtually undetectable by any OS. I also heard this technology was to be demonstrated at this years Defcon. Can anyone confirm this? Am I just imagining things? Here is an example of a simple keylogger You can also resort to a hardware keylogger.
  6. Asterisk is running on a WRT54GS which is only 8MB/32MB Rom. So space should not be an issue?
  7. Irongeek, I'm trying to test a non metasploit WMF version. Or does the WMFmaker use the same shellcode as Metasploit? Basically, I'm trying to figure out if a WMF generated by WMFmaker will execute on my Windows 2000 box. I know that the metasploit version will not.
  8. I think my Google Antivirus is preventing the Metasploit from entering my OS Windows Tiger.
  9. My searching skills must be off today. Where can I find a copy of WMFmaker? I'm curious is the generated WMF file can be exploited on Windows 2000? - solid332
  10. I'm looking for the presentation as well. I know the presentation took place at the 22nd Chaos Communication Congress. Day 4. Here is the link to the details. A live stream was broadcasting from but I missed it. According to previous CCC's, the slides should be uploaded shortly.
  11. Also remember to use Aireplay to generate a ton of IV's. This will speed up the process.
  12. Thanks Irongeek! I will check the video out later tonight. Bad news about the new GS. I currently have a 54G, which only contains 4MB RAM. My understanding is Asterisk can be installed on the 4MB wrt54g but with great difficulty. The GS with 8 MB is recommended. I thought I bricked my 54g a few times, but I found a trick that involved powercycling the router and waiting for an led to blink three times... (something like that..) Anyhow, I was luckly always able to TFTP my original settings back when I bricked.... Anyone else playing with their 54G? - solid322
  13. I may be setting myself up for some nasty responses here, but I'm looking to have some with my WRT54G Linksys Router. I was thinking an asterisk box tied into would be a good start. Or FairuzaWRT from hackerpimps to play with Kismet Drone Does anyone have some good stories to share of their fun with the WRT54G? - solid332
  14. Hackerpimps @ have a Kismet Drone compiled for the wrt54G.
