  1. I commend you greatly! One of the few modern phreaks promulgating information pertaining to switches!

  2. Your article on the EWSD was excellent!

  3. sup av1d!! jaa I'll try the conf pretty soon... At least there's 483 telnet BBSes and 126 dial-up BBSes left in the list. I'm glad it's not entirely dead. ls-la...
  4. Sup natas! Yeah, I'm kinda off and on with a lot of topics lately... I might be focusing down to one or two things shortly. Regarding a login banner... I dunno exactly if /etc/issue will work or not with your BBS. If not, try the BBS's docs for the intro ANSI -- the very first display file... Sometimes it's hidden in the docs and not used by default. I can't think of any other file that would display without using a tty or login or something. Perhaps /etc/motd might work. Be sure to test with a remote logon if you use issue or motd though. ls-la... EDIT: but I suppose testing is a necessity either way... :/
  5. Try Mystic... It works for Linux and it's pretty old school. Mystic for Linux 1.07 Also, try BBS Links for places to look for BBSes... Try to login to a bunch of servers, and see what you like (Linux BBSes of course). ls-la...
  6. Go with the source: ARRL Never compromise...drink Sprite. ls... Or... Only Operate on Sprites... something like that. P.S. How can you fail? If you're one of those who wants to -know- rather than have the answers, then you at least know what you have to study. That's my route. I must know something before I spout it out... Or take a test on it and get a 100%. :borg: P.S.S. I recommend the General License as the first. Most bang for the buck.
  7. Checked it out way back when... still looks like Alpha... Get the Facts? Hahahah... ls... P.S. X comes before Y.
  8. Slackware, DOS 6.22, Win2k, WinXP... in that order. EDIT: Slack 8.0... with -current (I'm talking -this- -current) additions when I feel it's necessary.
  9. I'm on now. BTW: can't believe no one has posted here for more than 2 weeks.. hehehe... forgive me if there's another way to announce... been at least more than 2 weeks. ls...
  10. Sup?, Who's up for 9:30 PM EST? ls...
  11. Strom, Thanks for the info... Yeah, I'd like to see some more whenever it comes available... Thanks again, ls-la...
  12. I'm on right now... ls...

  15. Yeah, User Access Verification... can that be changed in the router? Prolly so... But no tellin' what it could be... a WHOLE exchange dedicated to the same banner? Pretty awesome. Gonna play around with this one. ls...
