  2. I have read the README. If it works on the iso shouldnt it work after I installed the iso.
  3. I just installed bt3 to hdd I updated it with fasttrack and I have edited the kismet.conf with source=rt2500,rausb0 ,RT73. I did put it in monitor mode. And I have searched it. This is the error I get: bt ~ # kismet Launching kismet_server: /usr/local/bin/kismet_server FATAL: Specifying a uid-0 user for the priv drop is pointless. I'm trying to beable to save changes to backtrack on my usb drive but I dont know how to erase sdb1 this is the tutorial im am using: bt~#umount /dev/sdb bt~#fdisk /dev/sbd n p 1 <enter> +1024M n p 2 <enter> <enter> w #this writes the partiton table. now to create filesystems# bt~# mkfsdos -F32 /dev/sdb1 bt~#mkfs.ext3 /dev/sdb2 All I need to do is just erase sdb1 Thanks for the help.

  9. Im thinking of switch from ubuntu to slackware, I already have been using backtrack off of usb for aboug 8 months, but I was looking at there site and it seems its 6 cdrom plzzzzzzzz correct me if im wrong and also was wondering if it is easy to install dual boot wise. Thanks guys.

Ok I'v been reading on wireless hacking for a year and actually been wireless hacking for about 7 or 8 months now and I was wondering on milw0rm should I be looking at the remote or local sections on milw0rm and does anyone know links or can tell me how to use the exploits they put on there. I dont wont a step by step just a little push towards the right direction. I use backtrack 3 off of usb I would try backtracks forums but the moderators are very rude. Thanks for the help guys.
  13. I dont have the bt3 iso but I do have bt2 but when I go to the hard disk part and I search for the iso on my desktop It doesnt show it. Why do I have to have so many problems.
