  1. I found this linux distro with gigabytes of hacking tools compressed into a 700 MB Live CD. It is called Backtrack Linux! I am downloading it now to test out, and I will post back on how good it is! The wikipedia page says some good things about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BackTrack hope you like this distro.
  2. Knoppix is good, and has great hardware support. Works better on old computers than new ones.
  3. I would have an iPod. Seriously, you can boot linux on one of those things! Plus the 2GB storage is good if you didn't have a flash drive. I carry a Damn Small Linux biz card cd around because you can boot it on a 486 with 16 mb ram and no hard disk. Of course my flash drive. I use portableapps so I carry around all of my programs with me.
  4. Restart your computer. I have had problems with my computer, (Random bugs) and they are usually fixed when I restart. If that doesn't work try a different editor. OpenOffice.org and Abiword are free and can edit MSword docs perfectly. Hope this helps, I'm just a noob. Oh yeah, they have spell check just like msword.
  5. Thanks. I will definatly get those books. I have been teaching myself somewhat, but I thought I probably needed some further insight on the C programming language.
  6. Hi, I was wondering... What do you think the best way to learn C code would be? I think it would be great to learn how to code. If you have a good web site or book or whatever please post it here. I have been coding a little in java. I just learn by looking at how simple programs act and looking at the source. Thanks in advance for any ideas you may have.
  7. I have sonicwall at my school also. If you are having trouble rename the .bat extension to .cmd and it is the same thing. Most proxys work well, for some reason my school has blocked google images. They have a lot of ways to bypass it though.
