  1. "Android came out!" I would have never guessed it was gay!
  2. http://oddstrument.com/2008/08/06/call-this-number/ Site is a little slow right now, but here's the important part. Basically it's a wind powered megaphone system that allows you to call up and say whatever you like, to have it echoed out among the mountains of Norway. http://www.unsworn.org/telemegaphone/

  5. Well, this probably isn't what you want, but you can try these Lisp based image creator thingies. http://wigflip.com/screedbot/ http://wigflip.com/signbot/ http://wigflip.com/minifesto/
  6. EA is just the distributer, Maxis is the developer
  7. Oh god, he admits to being 14 on his profile...and apparently Poetic-Justice is his friend...this is all starting to make sense now.
  8. Good lord this website sucks, even on the UK version, the whole bottom nav bar links all go to one site, and if you click the "contact info" page at the top, it says "Our phone number is 075" Nice. Also: http://www.bourne-grammar.lincs.sch.uk/inc...216_issue14.pdf lolwut, year 8 = 13 years old. That sounds about right. EDIT: And checking the whois of geeksandcohosting.com shows "Daniel Grammatica" as the contact name, and he is in that pdf above. So either Callum Phenix uses Daniel's account on the forums here, or he has split personalities
  9. How does that prove any danger? Unless you count cool glowing-without-being-plugged-in effect as danger... Oh fuck, I was putting CFLs next to my plasma ball to make it light them up just for the glowing-without-being-plugged-in effect. Guess I've got the cancerz.
  10. Actually, I think our circadian rhythm is only influenced by light and dark, not so much directly driven by it. You can change your rhythm by simply repeating it, like Polyphasic sleep
  11. The hell? Clearly it's a secret code that means "I'm a big fat liar!"
  12. Funny how this Steve Larson is a professional photographer and yet only has a "$5 camera"
  13. I lol'd. Also: http://www.flickr.com/photos/larsoncreatio...57602331718077/
  14. http://larsoncreations.com/blog/ LOLWUT? Also, you posted this picture on the forums before...SDAUGH doesn't seem like it would mean Steve Larson. EDIT: http://www.stickam.com/viewPhotoGallery.do?uId=175611464
  15. For one thing, I don't think irc.binrev.net still forwards to the new host (irc.cryptirc.net), and even if it still does, I wouldn't count on it staying that way for much longer. and as others have pointed out, it is indeed Crypt IRC, not Cryptic.
  16. Actually, there is a "virus" (only it's actually a worm), it's what infects the computers that join the botnet. Typically it's something simple that just connects the machine to an irc server where it sits and waits for some command in a specific channel like "zomg ping 127.0.0.1 lol" and then all the bots send traffic to the victim, typically overwhelming the connection.
  17. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6227
  18. http://cstech.intel.com/ Looks neat.
  19. Indeed, and after trying to play it a little, I found it pretty annoying (although I'd bang that "IT" girl). I should delete this post, but I'll just say, this game isn't very neat at all (also old apparently, 2005?)
  20. Sawfish is a fantastic window manager, never did find out why Gnome was lame and switched to Metacity (which still doesn't have all of Sawfish's features). Also, Sawfish uses librep, which is Lisp based
  21. This is why I just stick to Firefox Filterset.g is a hostfile that's constantly updated by the maintainers with new hosts to block, etc. It works in connection with Adblock+, and I rarely (if ever) see a single ad.
  22. There is a "package" for FVWM called FVWM95, which makes a very convincing Windows 95 clone
  23. Is there something like Adblock+ and Filterset.g for Opera? I love not having to worry about host files and all that.
  24. what about NAPS for Name And Password Screwup
  25. Search the programming forums, you should find quite a few posts.
