Seems like they copied everything they could find from Google onto a DVD, lol

Astalavista has always been on bullshit. They've been compromised more times than an 8 year old at MJ's house and when someone lets them know there is a serious exploit in their system they refuse to fix it because they're too arrogant. I wouldn't pay for anything they have or even download it, and if I ever did HAVE to download something from there I would run it through lots of virus checks.

Came across a copy in my travels.

4.03 GB with far less than a tenth of it even remotely useful (oh look xp-sp2 beta installer how useless), nice waste of bandwidth. :P

Looks like they just threw together anything they found, there are ~5 sub versions of john included for some reason?

Wouldn't recommend anybody spend any money on it, that's for sure.

As mentioned - run an anti-virus (you should anyways) or better - open it in a vm separated from your network.

A third of the video tutorials are I shit you not - direct links to milw0rm online, not even stored on the iso.

You can find it on torrents, it was released about a month ago. They don't have any right to sell most of the stuff on it so if you want it, I suggest you get a pirate copy.

Years ago I bought the "Hacker's Black Book", which contained a username and password to access altavista. The book was pure crap, and the website was pure crap too. It is basically a bunch of arrogant script kiddies who search the internet for "1337 hacking tools" and put them on a DVD. Buy this stuff, and you'll cry.
