I broke 10 posts and all I got was this lousy title!

In the UK if you dial 17070 from any BT phone you'll get a 'BT line test facility' then it tells you the number of the phone your using and some other tests like Ringback,Quiteline,etc
Not tested this in a while as I'm now living in FRANCE!

Yep, I’ve seen that number before, it works on normal phone lines also, not just payphones.
I think there was another one 174 or 175 or something from memory which just does a ring back straight away and then kills the line for a few minutes.
