yeah actully this is the case in my area... what ameritech does is filter your bandwith unless you have sbc dsl. I heard verizon doing some nasty crap to some independant telco's. Some thing i heard where they would cut pairs to get them people to sign with them. just thought i would add my 2 cents on the topic ..... the only number i would want to keep would be 313-373-1337 having that number would be cool.
