a phone can be powerd of a 9 volt if you hook a beige bocx clips to the battery

DigiKey still sells them. Just do a parts search for "6.55 MHz" and you'll find three types. The non-surface mount one [specs] should do the job (unless you really want to do the surface mount stuff).
