I know this is a total noob question. I used to have wardialing program that I used in my dial-up days many moons ago. Does a similar app exist that would sniff out IP addresses as oppsed to modem numbers? I have no clue what is available. I can do port scans, trace routes, fingers and the like with the tools built-in to OS X, but want to know if there is something to find IP addresses like my wardialer used to find modem numbers. Is there such a beast? I found something called nmap, but it seems more geared to network mapping if you already KNOW an IP address.
