There seems to be other live CD projects out there that are popping up!

http://www.gnoppix.org/ is in the works, not much there right now and the page is in german.

http://am.xs4all.nl/.../node.php?id=20 Morphix - This one sounds cool, they have a gaming iso which includes some game demos and works with nvidia drivers! If you have a pretty new system with a pretty new nvidia card you can slip the CD in and boot it up and play UT2003 demo. Very rad indeed.

http://www.trxlinux.org/ Router/firewall live cd. Can save config data on hard or floppy disk.

All of these have the knoppix hardware detection, but now there are different CDs for different jobs.

If anyone tries these out, pleas share your experiences!

they also have the debian based firewall that boots off of a cd called Gibraltar (the place where John and Yoko were married.)
for the linux users, I found this Very funny http://ars.userfrien...ns/?id=19990301
i went on to about 30 comics after that one, and they were all funny.

The hardware detection IS very nice.. one thing you need to remember though is knoppix is based off of Debian, not something like redhat or slack..

BinRev is hosted by the great people at Lunarpages!
