I've installed GIMP into the BSD portion of OS X so I can run it in X Windows. The things has been compiling for about 2 hours now.... and is only 3/4 of the way done....is that normal? The G4 it's running on is probably comperable to a 1 GhZ Pentium, with gobs of RAM. When I installed OpenOffice it didn't take half this long. I know GIMP is a huge app, but sheesh....I like to actually try using it before dawn.

I noticed an interesting line in the Terminal as it's been compiling:

"Searching for buttocks................ok"

Does that mean it *found* buttocks? On my computer? Eeeewwww.....
