Ive been attempting to get slackware 9.1 off bit torrent with little luck. Ive downloaded the first disc from http://www.slackware...ents/index.html and it turns out its 1.5 gig I duno why. I was told to dl the equivalent to MD5 for windows and found one but I dont know what it is used for, how to use it (there is no documentation with it), or if its the right one. Im stuck and need a lil help.

In windows or linux? You basically use the md5 to verify the download. In windows, this is what I use http://www.md5summer.org/

type "md5sum slackwareisoname.iso" and match it with the md5 you have, it should be exact, if not, the iso is corupt. Also, make sure the iso really is 1.5 gigs, if bittorrent said it's 1.5 gigs, it's probably talking about what you actually downloaded, which sometimes, a part will be corupt, bittorrent will discard it and redownload, which will make the download value go up.

Did you somehow get both CDs in one DL? If you want, PM me and I'll mail you out the disks.
