(541) 327-4488 is another one. number listings are on https://www.ckts.info/411 everything under Phil McCarter can be dialed from here.

this is over an open-wire carrier trunk, so 2600hz will reset it and you can dial in SF pulses.

Natas posted some interesting info about this way, way back; http://www.binrev.co...by-step-switch/

I think I remember hearing someone say 375 is now an AE step. The switch you're hearing pick up I believe serves the 486 prefix. Other then that, the 1 level will get you onto an MF trunk to Asterisk.

Someone else has an XY office it looks like, and stuck a tour of it on Youtube; http://www.youtube.c...h?v=wRQWhmDxPGY

If you want to skip the video, the number is 805-741-2600.

EDIT: IPBB insists on trying to embed the video. Hopefully that isn't a problem now.

(another) Edit: The guy who runs the 217 step was nice enough to talk with me for a while. The 1+ trunk is for CNET. He also mentioned there's a trunk on 865 to an all-relay office, among a lot of toll-board gear. He's very proud of what he's been able to put together.

actually, the 1 level sounds like a DP trunk with MF ANI. because sometimes there is an ANI fail and you can hear it pulse out KP+102+ST3P

EDIT: looks like 375-3711 on the 217 number gives you dial tone from another step.

I feel such a jackass asking this but how do i dial numbers IN the C*NET network when connected to +1 206 203 6610 or +1 952 652 0000 (such as DTMF/MF etc.? It might seem irrelevant but it's gonna be pointless if I start a new topic.

Better yet, how do you get calls not in CNET's +1 code to go through the XY?

probably can't. many switchers don't have international hooked to their switches.

that's strange. your touch tone dial may be out of spec or something. what kind of phone are you using?

A cheap-ass phone that I bought at Wally World for $10... should have spent my money on a western electric one but the $10 phone is perfect for recording sounds from the receiver.

I wonder how it could be "out of spec" seeing as though the intercept machine at my local C.O can recognize it....

maybe the walgreens calling card is blocking the touch-tones?
