every passing day this is becoming more of a reality. In the current issue of popular science there is an article about the bill being pushed through congress to force hardware manufacturers to create hardware that checks and attempts to prevent piracy.

:ky: The motto must be "we can't do it ourselves, so let's make the hardware manufacturers do it" :ky:

:pissright: "The consumer Broadband and Digital Television Promotion Act" (introduced by Senator Fritz Hollings). It was pushed off the docket because of our current IRAQ situation which took precedence.

watch for the opportunity to fight this. Although, I suspect that this will actualy STIFLE the american economy further because people will start buying the equipment from overseas where the laws are not enforceable (yet).
