I had Windows 7. Now I've migrated to Ubuntu and am staying there.

All I regret is: 1) should've never used Windows, 2) should've at least migrated before spending $120 to upgrade to Windows 7 three months ago.

Now all I need is a nipple ring. Jk..lol.

i had/still have windows, < has some need for directx/some reason every pc i get has problems with drivers at first, but i basically always dualboot. never ubuntu thoe, never never never < has no need for all that bloat, like its trying to be slackware or something . < will stick to like 450mb aptosid live iso. mostly because i never use any of the programs they install at all, its like openoffice, just so i can use nano.

Dos4GW & Assembler. I was quite a early adopter before finding slackware on floppies then later on redhat
I think at one point I ran sco, but that was when they actually had a product...

Windows 95 on the family computer, DOS 5 on my personal computer. My first UNIX experience was telnetting (from the 95 box)/dialing into (from the DOS box [an IBM PC-XT]) into the Grex system in Ann Arbor, MI. They were running SunOS 4.something at the time. 15 dialin lines, and you had a hard time getting connections in the evening! From there, MINIX 2.0.1 on a 386 given to me by the school. Then Mandrake for a few weeks, followed by RedHat 8/9 for a year or so, and finally Slackware 10.

First OS: Windows 3.1
First encounter w/ Linux: Red Hat 9, then Fedora, then Ubuntu.
I will most likely change distros soon as GNOME 3 and Unity suck horribly and both have ruined Ubuntu for me.

My first was some version of ProDOS running on an Apple IIe. Next was Windows 95, Windows 98, NT 3.1, 2000, XP. At school I would occasionally touch Mac OS 8,9 & OSX based Computers and my first Linux experience started with Mandrake Linux 9.2 & SuSe 9 in 2004/2005.

Started with DOS 6.22 and Win 3.11. My first Linux experience was with Mandrake Linux 10.0. Since then I've dual booted my systems with Linux and windows but primarily use Linux.

Windows lost out to Ubuntu because I virtualbox'ed Ubuntu and used it for 2 weeks and loved it so much I realized I wasn't even using Windows anymore.

M$ (Micro-yuk) converted me into a Linux user.

P.S. I'm wondering to whom I should submit a bug report, that I'm not getting email notifications.


Edit: I'm getting a Ubuntu hat. Sorry nipple ring, you're history (like I was gonna get it anyway)...lol.

As long as it's Linux that's all that really counts... but blowfish won't cut it...ha.
