I have a external wireless card(backtrack compatible) that is installed on my computer. If I use backtrack 5 in vmware, can I use the external wireless cards full possibilities(on my own network) such as packet injection in the vmware backtrack5?

VMware will make USB devices available to the virtual machine, as long as they are on a true USB. Not a USB card plugged into the PCI bus. So, if you plug a USB card into a PCI/PCMCIA/PC Express slot it will not work in the vm.
