think i mentioned before, but an RF modulator between a copy protected source and a recording device will strip the copy protection... tested with DirecTV and copy protected DVDs, but then again that method does nothing to improve the image quality as the stuff that you presented..

Catching up on the latest two eps...good stuff! +1 for minidiscs as well.
nyphonejacks: always wanted one of the SCSI MiniDisc Data drives, but I never had money for one. They're apparently hard to find now. Ended up settling for 3.5" magneto-optical media.
