nice show... thanks for the shout-out... "new york phone jacks" is how i say it, but does not really matter...
with the mini-discs i think that they had audio discs and data discs if i remember correctly... i have a 4 track mini-disc recorder in my closet from the 90's when i thought i could do music (with out any instruments, just samplers and drum machines)if i remember correctly i had to use the more expensive data mini-discs for it (think they were like $25 each at the time)

think i mentioned before, but an RF modulator between a copy protected source and a recording device will strip the copy protection... tested with DirecTV and copy protected DVDs, but then again that method does nothing to improve the image quality as the stuff that you presented..

Catching up on the latest two eps...good stuff! +1 for minidiscs as well.

nyphonejacks: always wanted one of the SCSI MiniDisc Data drives, but I never had money for one. They're apparently hard to find now. Ended up settling for 3.5" magneto-optical media.
