this link will tell you the CURRENT carrier of a phone number and the original carrier (so you know who the carrier is if the number has been ported...)

http://tnid.org/

the website for the company that owns the 804-222-1111 test number that i believe i posted on this forum in the past... other interesting tests can be done from the site but i think you need credit to do some of the other tests??

http://testcall.com/222-1111.html

telcodata... i think most people know about this one...

http://telcodata.us/

this one is good for those of you with iDEN boost or nextel phones to install software...

http://144.230.114.3....jsp?output=100

this one is good for sound effects to help you get off the phone (never actually used it for its intended purpose, but its funny)

It's very funny unless I cannot verify myself these links that you've linked because nobody of my friends live in these cities.
But i want to know something else, how can you do in particular with these link?

But i want to know something else, how can you do in particular with these link?

what are you talking about? you must not live in the US (although i am sure most of the links should also work elsewhere in north america, canada i am looking at you)

none of these links are for any specific cities...

with TNid- you enter the telephone number that you want to find out the current carrier right at the top of the page...

the 804-222-1111 test number might be a long distance call, if you still have to pay for long distance - but performs some interesting tests such as it reads back letter for letter what appears on the CID of the number you are calling from, as well as performs a DMTF test it will read back each digit pressed... there are other tests available on the website, such as test calling PBX systems etc - none of which should be restricted to any specific city (although i have not added any credit to perform any of the online automated tests to confirm that part)

telcodataclearly is not tied to any specific city, it allows you to obtain more detailed information about the central office that a specific exchange is working out of - as well as much more information, based on your query...

the next link is an iDEN loader - so again that one is not tied to any specific city, just allows people with iDEN phones to install software on there phone that they downloaded onto there computer...

and finally the gotta go website is just a soundboard of funny sounds to play when you need to get off the phone... which actually could be used world wide...

Great links.

I have just one to contribute to the list I saw recently.

That is a great source of prank-call material and assorted tom-foolery.
