I have been ringing a few numbers on my exchange through Skype just out of curiosity and I noticed a few of the numbers make this weird tone with clicking. It only happens on Skype when I phone the number from a land-line it doesn't happen.

I attached the sound clip so you can all listen.

The Number in question is +441497740000

Can anyone tell me what it is

?

sounds like some kind of test tone of sorts, I'd ask in http://www.hackervoice.co.uk/ since I don't know much about BT.

Did you work out what this was? I have struck the same noise on Skype to Skype.
