I've had trouble since switching to linux, the main problem I guess would be that it shuts off when playing games or watching videos. I've installed cpufreqd and powernowd, but to no avail. My best guess is temperature because the bottom of the fan is incredibly hot to the touch. I've looked at the man page for cpufreqd and investigated the files associated with it, I just don't know what I'm doing.

/proc/acpi
no /proc/apm, /proc/pmu, /proc/cpufreq or /sys/devices/system/cpu*/cpufreq (though there is /sys/devices/system/cpu*)
